The Castle in Ravadinovo
The castle in Ravadinovo is a great place if you plan a one-day walk in the surroundings. Exotic species of trees, plants and flowers will be explored. Apart from its architecture and the amazing sculptures, the castle also grasps the lakes, inhabited by freshwater fish, waterfowl, white and black swans, pelicans and many others. Features separate dining areas, a children’s play area and games rooms. It’s as magicial as in a fairy tale.

The Island of St. Ivan
If your boat trip is your thingy, take a walk around the island of Saint Ivan. Saint Ivan Island is the largest Bulgarian Black Sea island. It is an archaeological reserve and a protected area known for its medieval monastery complex “St. Ivan the Forerunner and the Baptist” and its exotic nature. The home of over 70 bird species and the owner of the largest medieval library, the island attracts tourists daily.

The Old Town of Sozopol
Also known as Apolonia. You will encounter both preserved and restored buildings from antiquity, vases, ornaments, amphoras, anchors, and architecture with a Renaissance spirit. The old town of Sozopol offers you a walk back in time. The architectural complex “Southern Fortress and Tower” presents the history of the Black Sea city. Walking around, you will immerse yourself in cultural life, you will see churches, chapels and Sozopol houses that hold the footprints of past eras.

Archaeological Museum and Gallery in Sozopol
Is museum tourism in your blood? The archaeological museum and gallery in Sozopol are your place. The museum presents archeology, history and cultural traditions of the 2500-year-old city – from the end of the 6th millennium BC until the 17th century. You will encounter artifacts such as collections of stone and lead anchors and bayonets, ancient Greek painted vases, the Alabaster chest, in which the relics of St. John the Baptist have been preserved for centuries.

Ropotamo National Park
A boat trip on the Ropotamo River. Ropotamo National Park is about 20 km away south of camping “Kavatsi”. The park has a dense, jungle-like vegetation known for its dense forests along the coast and home to a variety of animal species. The place offers both boat ride along the mouth of the river and hiking on designated routes. Only 30 minutes walk away from the water lily reserve. In the area you can also visit “Snake island” or “St. Thomas” – one of the few places in Bulgaria, where wild cacti and Arbituno, the only beach in Bulgaria with sand lilies. These are exclusive sites that are protected by law.
